Testing & validation

Tested and documented at every stage of production.

At DEON, absolute product reliability is achieved through rigorous, multi-stage testing. From the moment raw chemical monomers arrive at our 60,000 sq. mtr facility to the final automated packing of converted rolls, our quality-control engineering guarantees flawless, world-class tape performance under all environmental conditions.

Chemical Monomer Purity Analysis
Verifies incoming polymer and chemical resin compositions using infrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography.
Polymer Carrier Resin Melt Index
Measures dry plastic resin flow properties under heat using precision extrusion plastometers.
Solvent Assay & Moisture Check
Utilizes Karl Fischer titration to monitor toluene purity, preventing premature chemical formulation breakdown.
Brookfield Viscosity
Measures fluid flow resistance of synthesized adhesive polymers inside jacketed reactors.
Solids Content (%)
Verifies the active polymer percentage remaining after thermal evaporation.
pH Value
Monitors acidity or alkalinity levels of water-based emulsion adhesives.
Base Film Thickness
Measures cross-sectional thickness profiles across the raw backing web via laser sensors.
Base Film Weight (GSM)
Calculates the physical mass of the raw carrier backing film per square meter.
Film Tensile Strength
Determines the maximum pulling force the raw substrate can handle before permanently stretching.
Film Elongation (%)
Measures the maximum capacity of the backing film to stretch before snapping.
Airborne Particle Density Tracking
Utilizes laser counters inside positive-pressure clean rooms to ensure an environment completely free of dust.
Wet Adhesive Mass Scanning
Deploys differential thickness sensors to continuously scan the wet adhesive layer weight during application.
Cross-Linking Density
Evaluates the internal molecular network formation of the adhesive after moving through oil thermopack ovens.
Roll Width Accuracy
Checks physical width compliance against target dimensional drawings.
Roll Length (Metrage)
Calibrates winding counts to verify linear footage per roll.
Total Tape Thickness
Measures cumulative thickness of both the backing film and cured adhesive layer.
Adhesive Coat Weight (GSM)
Measures the absolute dry mass of adhesive applied per square meter.
Peel Adhesion (180°/90°)
Measures the force required to remove a bonded tape strip from a standard steel panel.
Rolling Ball Tack
Measures how far a steel ball rolls down an incline before stopping on the adhesive bed.
Shear Resistance (Holding Power)
Measures internal adhesive resistance to slipping off a vertical plate under a continuous room-temperature weight load.
Shear Adhesion to Backing (Unwind Adhesion)
Measures the force required to peel the tape off its own backing sheet to verify uniform unwind tension.
Tensile Strength at Break
Evaluates the absolute maximum force required to snap the finished tape construction under a fast mechanical pull.
Tear Propagation Resistance
Evaluates the tape’s structural resistance to continuing a rip once an initial edge-nick or cut has occurred.
Dielectric Strength (BDV)
Pinpoints the peak voltage threshold a tape backing insulates against before breakdown.
Release Liner Thickness
Evaluates the gauge of protective silicone-coated release papers or films.
Release Liner Peel Force
Measures the force required to separate a protective release liner from the adhesive layer.
Unwind Force
Measures the mechanical effort needed to unroll a finished tape roll at a set speed.
Accelerated Tape Ageing Test
Subjects tape rolls to prolonged high heat and humidity profiles to simulate years of shelf-life stability.
Environmental Chamber Cycle
Subjects final tape rolls to cyclical exposure across extreme hot, cold, humid, and dry atmospheric profiles.
Carton Drop & Transit Shock Testing
Performs free-fall drops on loaded master shipping boxes from set heights to verify tape seal integrity under heavy impact.
Copper Strip Corrosion
Wraps tape around a polished copper strip under intense heat and moisture to monitor chemical reactions.
Flammability Rating
Subjects tape samples to a direct flame to monitor burn propagation speeds and self-extinguishing times.
Color & Clarity Analysis
Employs optical electronic sensors to verify shade consistency and crystal-clear film levels.
SAFT (High-Temp Shear)
Ramps up temperature on weighted tape joins to locate the precise structural melting point.
Weathering & UV Resistance
Bombards tape samples with intense ultraviolet light, high heat, and humidity cycles in an aging chamber.
Barcode Batch Traceability Logistics
Verifies final automated laser core markings to ensure every package maps back to its original reactor lot code.
